For extra security, if you unlink your account here, you should also go into TripIt at https://www.tripit.com/account/edit/section/applications to remove the app from future access.

This cowtool requires that you have a TripIt account, and will only look for schedule changes for flights operated (and maybe marketed?) by Air Canada, that you have added to your TripIt account.

To register, you will need to be signed in to your cowtool account (the associated email address will receive schedule change notifications), and then authorize this app to access your TripIt account. If at any time you wish to terminate access, you can unlink it above.

Immediately after registering, and once per day thereafter (at roughly the same time as you signed up), this app will pull all your flights from TripIt, and check the current scheduled time and aircraft type. If any of it does not match what's in your TripIt profile, an email will be sent showing the old and new details. You will need to go to TripIt and update the details to match, otherwise you will get the same email the next day.

The aircraft type in TripIt must exactly match the three character code from AC's schedule. For example, it needs to be "789", not "787-9", or it will trigger a schedule change alert.

This product uses the TripIt API but is not endorsed or certified by TripIt.

cowtool does not store any of your trip data. It will only be briefly kept in memory while we determine whether there have been any schedule changes. If so, those changes will be emailed to the address associated with your cowtool account. No third parties will have access to any of your information.
